Due to fast growth and the increasing importance of IT to the core business, our customer is undergoing a global transformation in technology, organization, and maturity, to move from a distributed approach to a centralized Future Mode of Operations. In that case we are looking for a Global Service Delivery Manager for Data Center Architecture. The main responsibilities will include:
- Service Delivery Manager for the global data center architecture and all related topics
- Technical architect for global projects to transform the worldwide decentralized infrastructure to the centralized Future Mode of Operations
- Define the technical standards and overall architecture for local server rooms and regional and global data center services
- Technical service owner for the IT data center infrastructure local LAN closets and server rooms, and regional and global data centers
- Coach, develop, and encourage excellence in a “virtual IT infrastructure” community of IT professionals worldwide, focusing primarily on the IT infrastructure
- Support the financial obligations of IT by providing inputs to the yearly budget and forecast cycles, planning for ongoing lifecycle, and maintenance needs for both global and regional applications, and supporting other internal IT functions as needed
Anforderungen:
You have the following experience and skills:
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
5-7 years’ experience in a related role involving service delivery and server and storage infrastructure for enterprise IT environments
- Strong experience as a Service Delivery Managers and in co-working with appropriates of the other IT fields
- Substantial understanding of the coherence in between the different IT fields
- In depth understanding of modern IT data center technologies, approaches, products, and trends, including server and storage systems, cloud computing, virtualized client infrastructures and outsourced data center services
- Certification in one or more technical areas related to data centers
- Experience with or certification in one or more security (CISSP, etc.), service (ITIL, COBIT, etc.), architectural (TOGAF, Zachmann, etc.) or project management (PMI, PRINCE2, etc.) frameworks an advantage
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to be successful in a dynamic, multi-cultural, and geographically distributed matrix organization
- Effective problem solving, analysis, facilitation, visionary and strategic thinking skills
- Good project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams, and to work both hands on and conceptually as needed
- Strong team player, experienced in working in locally distributed and international teams is a plus
- Fluent in English (oral and written), every additional language is an asset
- Strong communication skills at all management levels
- Strong work ethic and drive to perform
- Willingness to travel
