The Windows / Citrix Admin/Architect will be part of the Project team,
supporting from an infrastructure side. 20%-30% of the duties are IT
system administration and support, 20%-30% of the duties are designing
and implementing continuing improvements of the IT infrastructure, and
20%-30% of the duties are related to designing and architecting a new
infrastructure for the application. The application itself only serves
ca. 300 users – but due to performance reasons nearly 20 physical
servers are required, i.e., the application landscape is very complex.
The application is a Microsoft Windows-based application involving OLAP
and MS SQL on 2008R2, and provided to the users via a Citrix XenApp 6
farm.
Geforderte Kenntnisse:
- Understands project management methodologies, can lead smaller projects
according to a standard methodology.
- Windows system administration (AD, DNS, general topics,
virtualization, etc.)
- MS SQL (although deep level DBA know-how is not needed)
- excellent experience with Citrix
- conceptual skills, the ability to capture and document
requirements, and the ability to create written system specification
documents
- last-level-support tasks
- architecture design
- Excellent German and English knowhow
