Beschreibung:
For our customer we are looking for a senior JEE Application Engineer. You will be working in an international staffed team of business analysts and application engineers responsible for suite of tools around a Finance Repository. You will support the team in the design and implementation of an extension to the group closing support tool. The application features a swing based fat client. The main business calculation functions are implemented as Java batch functions, which are controlled by the TWS for z/OS. Your main tasks/activities:
- Implementation, testing and documentation
- participate to work on technical concept and design of the solution in a close cooperation with IT and BA team
- discussion, iteration and agreement of the concept and design with the Business Analysis and the project leader
- taking active role in the implementation phase in collaboration with internal colleagues
- documentation of the technical solution, the data model and the implementation
- contribution to the respective change management process
- open and active cooperation with the project leader and other team support production processes (monitoring, issue resolution)
Anforderungen:
You have the following skills and experience:
Technical:
- Expert knowledge in object oriented analysis and design
- IBM RAD, Eclipse
- Java EE
- Websphere
- Windows, zOS operating system
- Hibernate, Spring
- Maven
- SQL and relational database modeling
- Experience in effective batch processing is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand Cobol code for re-engineering is a plus
Functional:
- University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Work experience in virtual/distributed teams is a plus.
